Our teacher is Miss Atterbury; we are also supported brilliantly by Mrs Marles every day. Mrs Kandes and Miss Kee teach us on a Friday morning. Any of the teachers would be delighted to speak to you if you have any concerns, big or small.
To start the term, we will be learning all about Little Red Riding Hood. In English, we will be be practising writing sentences by retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood and using adjectives to describe characters. In science, we shall be learning about animals that we can find in our own environment and their similarities and differences.
After the half term our new topic is called 'Weather Watchers'. In this topic the children will be observing seasonal changes as the temperature begins to drop. In English we will be writing rhyming poems that are inspired by the weather. We will also be working very hard on our Christmas nativity!
We have PE every Tuesday and Friday and will be following the ‘Leap into Life’ and ‘REAL PE’ programmes. We will look at how to stay healthy and learn the importance of warming up and cooling down.
The children will also be taking part in Wild Tribe sessions every Friday. This is a fantasic oppportunity for the children to learn outdoor skills such as den building and fire lighting. Please ensure that the children have a warm waterproof coat and wellies in school to change into on wet days.
