Eagles
Welcome to Year 6 with Miss Hughes and Mrs Coaker.
Year 6 – Autumn Term
Eagles class have started the academic year with their residential trip to Barton Hall. This was a perfect opportunity for them to get to know their new teachers and teaching assistants, make new friends, grow their independence and make memories to last a lifetime. They experienced a range of activities from ziplining to abseiling to giant stand up paddleboarding to singing songs around a campfire. A lot of fun was had!
Back in school, the children are starting their new learning which includes: reading Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell, exploring number, place value and the four operations in maths, writing a recount of our trip to Barton Hall, learning about California in geography and the ancient city of Baghdad in history.
In other areas, the Eagles class are looking forward to taking on the responsibilities that come with being in Year Six. We will see many members of our class taking on roles in the school parliament, as House Captains and as REFDICE ambassadors.
