Welcome to the Owl's class page.

Below is an overview of what we will be learning during this term.

This term, we will:

In English, we will learn to write biographies, stories and poetry based on the books 'Inspiring Inventors who are changing our future', 'A Thief in the village', 'Straw into gold' and 'I am a cat.'

In Maths, we will learn about shape, position and direction, decimal numbers and units of measurement. 

Reading lessons will be based on the books 'Five Children and It' by E. Nesbit and 'Secrets of a Sun King' by Emma Carroll.

In DT we will learn to repurpose materials and to join them by sewing.

We will learn about migration and the Amazon and the people who live there during our Geography lessons.

In History lessons, we will study the end of the Viking era and elements of our local history.

The children will study forces, the cause of night and day and animal (including human) development in our Science lessons.

The children will have a PE lessons on a Monday afternoon and a Friday afternoon.

In Religious Education lessons, we will be learning about Buddhism.

The children will continue with French lessons, focusing on phonics, vocabulary and grammar with Mrs Kandes on a Wednesday morning.
