Welcome to the Owl's class page.

Please take a look at our class photos to see what we have been up to so far this year.

Below is an overview of what we will be learning during this half-term.

This term, we will:

Write third-person stories based on the Book of Hopes edited by Katherine Rundell, write persuasive letters and study poems.

In Maths, we will learn about place value, addition and subtraction methods, multiplication and division.

Our Reading lessons will be based on the book 'Shackleton's Journey'.

In Art, we will learn about and create abstract art based on the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

We will learn about California and Oceans during our Geography lessons.

In History lessons, we will study the history of Baghdad and Anglo Saxon Britain.

The children will study Chemistry and learn about the properties of materials in our Science lessons.

The children will have a PE lesson on a Monday afternoon and a swimming lesson on a Thursday afternoon starting on Thursday 18th September (further information to follow).

In Religious Education lessons, we will learn about Islamic stories and traditions.

The children will continue with French lessons, focusing on phonics, vocabulary and grammar with Mrs Kandes.
