Welcome to the Sparrows Class page. Our teachers are Mrs. Clift and Mrs. Westrope. Mrs. Clift will be working with you on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mrs. Westrope will be working with you on Thursdays and Fridays. In Year 2, we have three T.As working across both classes: Mrs Payne, Miss Cattell and Mrs Ward.

During our Computing lessons, we will be learning to design and create pictures using Dazzle.

In Music, we will be developing our singing skills and continue to use glockenspiels to perform a song.

In Art, we will be printmaking using handmade printing blocks and creating artwork based on textiles.

In DT, we will be learning about mechanisms and understanding materials.

During Geography lessons, we will learn about human and physical geographical features of a small area of the UK and compare it to Hawaii (a non-European country).

In History lessons, we will study local explorer, Captain Scott and his expedition to the South Pole.

In Science, we will learn about materials and their properties.  We will also learn about plants.

During Jigsaw (PSHE), we will focus on thinking about Dreams and Goals for the first half of the term and how to keep healthy in the second half of the term.

In Religious Education lessons, we will learn about Muslim prayer and why Christians celebrate Easter.

PE will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday for both classes. Children need to come into school in their PE kit on PE days. In addition to this, the children will have the opportunity to take part in Wild Tribe termly.
