Welcome to the Robins
The whole foundation team are so excited to see you all again after a wonderful half term.
This term our topic is called 'Under the Sea'.
Spring 2
We will be learning all about life under the sea and the creatures we can find below the surface. In our literacy we will be writing: labels, descriptions of book characters and even our own sea creature fact files. Our main texts this half term will be: Sharing a Shell, Commotion in the Ocean and a variety of non-fiction pieces as well.
In phonics, we will be revising phase 3; consolidating our newer phase 3 digraphs and trigraphs and putting them into longer, more complex words and sentences. In maths, we will continue developing our understanding of number order and practising our number formations. We will be measuring length and height in various ways (including rulers and multi-link cubes). We will also be continuing to develop fluency recognising number bonds to 10.
In further areas, the children will be exploring underwater habitats and the creatures that live in each area of our seas and oceans. Our art and design is full of fantastic crafts this term, including: observational sketches, seaside collages and exciting porthole scenes.

We are always available at the gate after school and in the mornings and if there are any messages please phone the school office and they will do their best to answer your query. Please be aware that any admin messages will need to go via the office, e.g. home-time arrangements and appointments.
