World Book Day at Stowford School

On Thursday the school celebrated World Book Day, in true Stowford style!
We had a whole school assembly to start, with Mr Vear and our Year 6 House Captains reading out the ‘Gruffalo,’ then each class parading their costumes.
Following this, the children spent the day circuiting around school and the different classrooms to engage in drama, comic strips, music, alliteration ingredients, art and music. Our Year 6 children joined different year groups to engage with the younger children.
The children looked fantastic in their book character costumes, as did the staff! We all enjoyed the activities, the engagement and the fun while celebrating the love of reading. Thanks to all the team for making this a memorable day for our wonderful children.
