Welcome to Kestrels with Mrs Kandes and Mrs Ocean.

This term we will:

Write stories focussing describing character and setting during the first half of the term.  we will then learn to write a biography.

In Maths, we will learn about decimals, area and perimeter and then statistics.

In DT, we will learn about textiles and design and make a lunch bag.

We will learn about agriculture, during Geography lessons.

In History lessons we will study Ancient Greece and the Persian Empire.

The children will learn to design and create 3D art with clay in our Art lessons.

In Science, we will learn about Space. Children will learn the planets of our solar system, how night and day, the phases of the moon and the seasons occur.  As a part of this learning we will recieve a visit from the Space Dome.

Children will have an outdoor PE lesson on a Monday afternoon with Mr. Vear and a dance lesson on a Wednesday afternoon with Ms. Kee. During the week beginning 26/2/24 we will have Bikeability sessions.

In Religious Education lessons we will learn about Judaism.

On a Monday afternoon the children will continue with French lessons with a focus on phonics, vocabulary and grammar with Mrs Kandes.
